Our ancestral business was a limestone mining business in Tsukumi City, Oita Prefecture, and entered the marine transportation business to strengthen the stable transportation of our cargoes. With the changing times, we have developed our business with a focus on transportation by ship.

Based on the know-how we have accumulated over the years, we will continue to invest in the safety of people, ships, and cargo, as well as in the next generation toward a decarbonized society.

Maritime transportation business

In coastal shipping, which accounts for 40% of domestic transportation, we transport limestone, raw materials for steelmaking, slag, aggregate, wet ash, and other materials mainly in western Japan and the Sea of Japan area with our controlled vessels.
We play a role in the supply chain of our customers who support Japanese industry by providing safe and stable transportation by limestone carriers, cargo carriers with grab crane, and general cargo carriers.

Ship owning business and ship management business

As a shipowner, we charter out our owned vessels to domestic and foreign customers.
We perform operations related to ownership, such as hiring crew, managing maintenance at drydocks where vessels dock on a periodic basis, managing ship insurance, etc., managing ship operations, managing hire rates and charter party, and handling the sale and purchase of vessels.

As a group, we mine and sell limestone in Tsukumi, Oita Prefecture.
